Marcobre achieves The Copper Mark certification

An unwavering commitment to environmental and social excellence in the mining industry

In a significant milestone for the Peruvian mining industry, Mina Justa in San Juan de Marcona, operated by Marcobre, has been awarded the prestigious Copper Mark certification. This recognition reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and socio-environmental responsibility, validating its outstanding practices in terms of environmental impact, community relations, labor rights and management transparency.

The certification, awarded for an initial period of 3 years, highlights Marcobre’s focus on continuous improvement of its responsible production practices. Marcobre continues to strengthen its best practices and leading the way towards responsible mining management that benefits both the company and the communities where it operates.
